The people behind paless

Your paperwork is a map of your life, and for most Europeans that map is stored on infrastructure governed by someone else's law. We think Europe deserves better. So we built paless, a protected document vault with Pal, an EU sovereign AI that does your paperwork, hosted exclusively on European infrastructure and protected by European law.

We build it on three principles. The jurisdiction comes before promises, because a policy can change and the law cannot be changed by a vendor. Big Tech has no place in the stack, not even for the AI. And there is no lock-in, your archive exports completely whenever you want.

Who is building this

Behind paless stands Entalys GmbH, a German company based in Meerbusch, led by founder Christoph Kleinhans. He spent years architecting IT infrastructure in the banking and energy sector, and he has lived completely paperless for years himself. He knows the freedom of digital organization and would never go back, and paless is that freedom built for everyone else. The company is registered at the District Court of Neuss and builds paless in the European Union, for the European Union.

What we are building

A vault that keeps every document encrypted on European soil, and Pal, the EU sovereign AI inside it. Documents arrive, get sorted and named automatically, and become searchable. Pal answers questions with the sources cited, composes emails with the right attachments, and fills in forms, and nothing goes out without your approval. The campaign launches on Kickstarter, with time limited Founder’s Pricing for early backers.
