- Future quantum computers could break some of today's encryption, and attackers could record data now to decrypt it later. Connections to paless use a hybrid key exchange with a quantum-safe method (ML-KEM), and stored documents are encrypted with AES-256. More in the FAQ

Sovereign, without US providers
- Your documents are stored and processed in data centers in the European Union, and Pal, the EU sovereign AI, runs there too. Your documents are never used to train AI models.
- When Pal reads, sorts or answers questions about your documents, it works in a sealed-off environment without any internet access. Pal only sees your documents and cannot pass them on to anyone.
- Future quantum computers could break some of today's encryption, and attackers could record data now to decrypt it later. Connections to paless use a hybrid key exchange with a quantum-safe method (ML-KEM), and stored documents are encrypted with AES-256.

Kept safe several times over
- Every document is kept twice, as the unchanged original and as a working copy that is read, searchable and versioned. Each is stored in three separate data centers in Europe, plus a separate backup.
- On top of the three data centers, your documents are kept in a separate backup. You can also download a complete backup of all your documents yourself, once every 24 hours.
- Your documents are spread across separate data centers in Europe, so the failure of a single location does not touch them. And because only European providers are involved, they do not depend on decisions made outside Europe.

- We run, update and look after everything for you. You never install updates or take care of a server.
- Everything runs in your web browser, on your computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing to install and nothing to update.
- You can use the interface in 43 languages, from German and English to Japanese and Arabic.
- Most office scanners that can save to a network folder can send their scans straight to paless. Email accounts connect just as easily. Pal names and tags everything that arrives.
- Send or forward emails with attachments to your workspace's own address, and the attachments appear in your documents.
